What activities are going on?

You will probably want to spend most of your time on the Events page. Not only can you see what is happening in the community, but you can also sign up for an announcement e-mail list so that you'll never miss another event. If you are not doing so already, you should contact the secretary's office for information.

How do I use this site's advanced features?

This site has many features to make your visit the most productive that we could make it. The site is hopefully designed in such a way that visitors will quickly find the information they want and to be able to monitor the site without even having to return to the site. This page gives a tutorial on some of the site's most interesting capabilities. Go to page...

Are there fees or expected donations to participate in activites?

No. Only Baha'is have the priviledge to donate for Baha'i activities. There are no fees for most Baha'i activities. In the case where a book is needed, each participant would need to borrow or purchase an individual copy. Some activities, such as Jazz Night, sell tickets for the benefit of the artists.

I want to know more about the Baha'i Faith

Perhaps the best place to start is with the Links page. Better yet, join us for one of our study circles. As with all Baha'i services, there is no charge.  You are also welcome to learn about the Baha'i Faith by joining us at some activity. Please visit our Events page.

I'm interested in joining the Baha'i Faith

A person becomes a Bahá’í by recognizing Baha’u’llah as the Messenger of God for this age and by following the laws and teachings He established for the unification of humankind. Members of the Bahá’í Faith enjoy the right to vote in Bahá’í elections, serve as members of Bahá’í administrative institutions and contribute to Bahá’í funds.

We invite you to become a member of the Bahá’í Faith and join us in building a better world! Contact us today at 212-674-8998 or info@bahainyc.org to join the New York City — and worldwide — Bahá’í community. Welcome!

More information can be found at the following page.

Do I have to be a Baha'i to have my children attend children's classes?

No. Children's classes are open to all. While we welcome you and your children to become Baha'is, it's not a requirement nor will you or your children be presured to join. Please see our class listing. We also have classes for teenagers.

So what are you doing to make NYC better?

Great question! Let's face it, religion is all about making people better. Our primary focus is on building better families. We believe that the family is the basic building block of society. Please join us at one of our activities.
